The Hill-Side was started in Brooklyn by two brothers at the beginning of 2008. They started by making one-off ties from dead stock and found fabrics. They launched their full collection for the autumn/winter 2009 season, focussing on ties and handkerchiefs, later expanding into scarves and other accessories.

All pieces are lined with their signature selvedge stripe and fabrics are sourced mainly from Japan.
